MKGOK.org and our volunteers are relentless in driving change in the communities by investing in the social and economic success of LGBTQIA+ individuals nationally and across the globe. Backed by unwavering support and a clear mission, we harness our resources to uplift and empower those in need through educational scholarships for LGBTQIA+ community members. Our core is to help LGBTQIA+ individuals defeat the odds that are stacked against them and rise above it to have a successful future. Changing one life can have a ripple effect that can change the world.

When Karen wrote her book “My Kid’s Gay & I’m OK!” little did she realize this book would lead to the forming of the non-profit MKGOK.org. Through her book she has helped families understand the coming out process, allowed parents to see another’s parents perspective on coming out and has changed some hearts and minds through the power of her book.
